Lost or damaged card or bracelet

Your profile lives in your account, not on the product. Here is how to block a lost one and replace it.

First, the reassuring part: your emergency profile is stored safely in your account, not on the card or bracelet itself. Losing the product does not lose your data.

If it is lost

  1. In the app, open My IDs and swipe to the lost item.
  2. Tap Block this item, enter a new PIN of 4 to 6 digits, and tap Confirm block.
  3. Order a replacement from the Simplecard store. Activate it as you did the first one. See Activate your card or bracelet.

What blocking does

  • The lost product is archived. Scanning or tapping it now shows only a message that it has been archived. It no longer opens your profile.
  • Your emergency page gets a new link. Wallet passes update by themselves. If you shared the old link with anyone, share the new one from Public profile QR on the Profile tab.
  • Your PIN is replaced with the one you just entered.

Your emergency page only ever showed what you chose to make public, and PIN-protected sections stayed locked. Blocking a lost product is still the tidy thing to do. If you get stuck, open a support ticket in the app from Settings, then Support, then Support tickets.

If it is damaged

  1. Try the steps in What to do if a QR code won't scan. Many "damaged" codes just need a clean.
  2. If it still will not scan or tap, open a support ticket and describe the damage. We will arrange a replacement.
