First, the reassuring part: your emergency profile is stored safely in your account, not on the card or bracelet itself. Losing the product does not lose your data.
If it is lost
- In the app, open My IDs and swipe to the lost item.
- Tap Block this item, enter a new PIN of 4 to 6 digits, and tap Confirm block.
- Order a replacement from the Simplecard store. Activate it as you did the first one. See Activate your card or bracelet.
What blocking does
- The lost product is archived. Scanning or tapping it now shows only a message that it has been archived. It no longer opens your profile.
- Your emergency page gets a new link. Wallet passes update by themselves. If you shared the old link with anyone, share the new one from Public profile QR on the Profile tab.
- Your PIN is replaced with the one you just entered.
Your emergency page only ever showed what you chose to make public, and PIN-protected sections stayed locked. Blocking a lost product is still the tidy thing to do. If you get stuck, open a support ticket in the app from Settings, then Support, then Support tickets.
If it is damaged
- Try the steps in What to do if a QR code won't scan. Many "damaged" codes just need a clean.
- If it still will not scan or tap, open a support ticket and describe the damage. We will arrange a replacement.
