Your phone can carry your Medical ID too. A wallet pass holds a QR code that opens the same emergency page as your card or bracelet, so a responder can scan it straight from your phone screen.
Add the pass
- Open the Medical ID app and sign in.
- Open the Profile tab and scroll to Public profile QR.
- On an iPhone, tap Add to Apple Wallet. On an Android phone, tap Add to Google Wallet.
- Confirm. The pass appears in your phone's wallet, and the app shows In Apple Wallet or In Google Wallet.
Remove it
In the same place, tap Remove from Apple Wallet or Remove from Google Wallet. The add button comes back, so you can add the pass again later.
Good to know
- The pass opens the same emergency page as your physical products. Update your profile once and the pass updates by itself.
- A wallet pass is a companion, not a replacement. If your phone is locked, dead or lost, your card or bracelet still works. That is the whole point of it.
- An iPhone offers Apple Wallet only, and an Android phone offers Google Wallet only.
